The GRISIJ group (Research Group on Socio-Educational Interventions in Childhood and Youth) was created in 1995 to address the lack of knowledge and intervention methodologies that existed within the field of social maladjustment and child protection.
The interest and experience of the group members led to the formation of a multidisciplinary team with a theoretical-practical perspective that would help raise awareness of these needs and initiate a research process that would provide answers to the practice of professionals.
In this way, the GRISIJ group emerged with the main objective of creating scientific reference frameworks and transforming them into resources for socio-educational action that help children in situations of vulnerability.
The group’s lines of research are therefore in the areas of child protection, positive parenting and health promotion, taking into account cross-cutting approaches to these lines of research of the group, such as resilience, positive development of adolescence or information and communication technologies.
